Riddle, Eh? is a fun, active, and interactive scavenger-hunt-style game that gets people outside, solving riddles, exploring their city, meeting fellow Canadians, and learning a little Canadian history along the way.
The concept may feel familiar to some players: each day, players receive a new riddle for the duration of the game. Solving the riddle reveals the real-world location you need to visit. Once you get there, you will need to answer the question connected to that location.
Easy, eh?
Well… we’ll just have to see about that.
The real fun comes from getting out there and meeting like-minded Canadians. That was one of the best parts I noticed while taking part in similar contests and events. Sure, solving the riddles is exciting. And yes, trying to be the first one to crack the clue definitely brings out that competitive edge. But nothing beats running into someone else at a mystery location and exchanging that classic look:
“You doing the thing?”
“You doing what I think you’re doing?”
“Did you solve it?”
Good memories. Good laughs. Good times. 😂
We’ve taken that same Canadian-centered riddle-solving idea and built it into a fun, easy-to-use game experience. Players go solo, chasing clues across town against everyone else racing to solve each day’s riddle first.
We also highly encourage everyone to show off their best Canadian swag while playing. Shirts, hats, flags, hockey jerseys, or even that flannel hiding in the back of the closet — because let’s be honest, every Canadian has at least one piece of flannel somewhere.
And maybe, just maybe, you’ll learn something new about the history of this amazing country while you’re at it.

Our first pilot game will be played in Edmonton, Alberta, and we are working hard to secure some simple prizes for participants. Generous local sponsors would be a huge help in making the first game even better.
We are hoping to launch our first game on Canada Day and run it for the entire month of July.
We are also looking for volunteer coordinators who may be interested in helping bring Riddle, Eh? to other cities and provinces in the future. If you love Canada, enjoy community events, and want to help people get outside, have fun, and learn a little history along the way, we would love to hear from you.
